She tried to sit up. Difficult, but not impossible. She heard a deep, quiet laugh. Her hands were pulled backwards, and she felt the ropes tie her wrists to what seemed like a metal ring.
She faintly heard a woman’s voice. “Lovely catch. I can’t wait to make my little birdie sing.”
